"I have been interested in photography since buying an old second hand SLR in 1978, but only started taking my photography more seriously when I joined Lytham St Annes PS in 2016. After a couple of seasons of club photography, I started entering BPE exhibitions in 2018 and have now worked through to the ABPE award. Along the way, I also achieved the CPAGB award in 2019 and DPAGB in 2021. I think that entering competitions provides a good motivation to generate new work, so I am now entering FIAP and PSA international exhibitions. My background in photography was originally in landscapes, but since taking part in club photography I have been encouraged to try other genres, including portrait, nature and creative. I run the website for Lytham St Annes PS, and have been on the club council since 2018."
