Next Meeting - Tuesday 7th September

The first meeting of our new season will be a Hot Pot Supper, prepared by our very own Mike Brown,

Please let me know by 5pm Thursday 2nd September if you will be attending so I can give Mike an estimate of numbers.

We will also be showing your holiday shots and listening to your stories behind them.

Please submit (up to 6 pictures) via your DropBox folder before 730pm on Monday 6th September.

Remember JPEG file format, 1024x768 sRGB.

File Name format:   sectionletter;Title;SURNAME,First Name,Number.jpg

For Holiday pictures use section letter: Z (Only one section beginners and advanced together)

For example: Z;Underwater Basket Weaving;HEWITT,Terry,309.jpg

If you haven't created a DropBox folder - let me know and I'll send you the instructions.

It's also hand in for the Digital Image Competition with theme "Curves".

Use DropBox, and file names and formats as above. For Curves use section letter A for beginners, D for Advanced.

Unfortunately Fred won't be there, so you don't have to pay Annual Subscriptions until the 14th September.

This year its two people per meeting on tea duties. For our first meeting it's Tony Arnold and Ove Alexander.

New Event: Photo shoot - Sunday 12th September 2010, Disley

We've been approached by Romiley Young Farmers, to perhaps shoot the Young Farmers Show in 2011 - which we think will happen in Bredbury.

In preparation for that, they are holding a horse show in Disley on Sunday September 12th and they would like SPS to photograph it for them.

There will be an opportunity to sell images to the participants of the show,  with profits going to SPS.  We hope that some of the images will be used in their brochure too.

If you are willing to take part please let Diane Seddon ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) know as she is coordinating SPS at the event.
