Saturday 14th April marks the start of our 126th Annual Exhibition at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery. It continues to Saturday 19th May.

Entry to the exhibition is free, and the gallery is open at the following times:

Monday: Closed (bank holidays: 11.00am to 5.00pm)
Tuesday to Friday: 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Saturday: 10.00am to 5.00pm
Sunday: 11.00am to 5.00pm

As well as the opportunity to see our images in the gallery, we will be organising free events during the exhibition:

War Memorial Art Gallery Trick Photography by Terry Hewitt

Bring along your phone or camera and take part in this workshop, taking pictures that all look impossible. Terry will talk you through a variety of effects that can easily be achieved on your camera, and there will be plenty of time to try them yourselves. Take some great pictures and impress your friends.

War Memorial Art Gallery Annual Exhibition Lecture and Awards

Travels in North India, a photographic record of the people, places and wildlife of North India by Terry Ottway, President Stockport Photographic Society.

Presentation of Awards for images submitted to the 126th Annual Exhibition by Gordon Jenkins, President of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

Outside War Memorial Art Gallery Stockport Photowalk led by Tony Bower

Bring your smartphone or camera and join local photographer Tony Bower on a photowalk through Stockport.
He will be assisted by members of Stockport Photographic Society, who will be able to help you to take great photographs of the sites (warts and all) of Stockport. Stockport has some great buildings and great people to photograph.
Join him afterwards to review and discuss your pictures.
